FAQ

Thank you for stopping by my site. I try and make things here easy to follow and understand but what is easy to understand for me is not always understood by others & vice versa.

So here is my growing list of questions I receive from visitors and Customers.

Please review these to see if your question is already answered here. If your question is not addressed here then feel free to ask me your question in either the comments section at the bottom of the page and/or use the Contact Us form in the navigation bar at the top of the page.

First off, there are a couple of items that I need to mention. The videos and most everything you will download from any of my sites come to you in a compressed or ‘dot’ zip file. In order for you to access the contents of these zipped files you need to use a zip program to un-zip or un-compress the files first. You probably already have one installed on your computer as part of your operating system but if not, here is one I suggest – and it is FREE!
You can download a free copy here.

Another item I consider as obvious but a few people may not be aware of, is that video files are usually very large in size.

If you are on a dial-up internet connection or a metered or slow internet connection then be forewarned that video files may take a long time to download.  This is one reason why I suggest using a download manager of some kind. I recommend one and have a operations video for it close to the bottom of this page – check it out if you do not already have and use a download manager.

1. For the PLR packages, what formats are the videos in?
All the PLR packages come with at least a Flash (FLV) format & a Source (AVI and / or Camproj) format. However, most come with those PLUS M4V (iPod), MP4, MOV & WMV

2. What software do you need to edit and brand the PLR videos?
I use Camtasia Studio but there are several possible programs you can use. A few are free but the more robust programs will cost you some money. Try a Google search for video editing software. I sell a PLR video series detailing how to edit videos as well as eBooks. It is called Your PLR Makeover

3. Do I host the videos or do my Customers get the videos from your server?
The videos are hosted on your server.

Once you make your purchase, download your products as soon as possible because the links are timed to expire at the 3 day mark. Once you have edited and / or branded your videos, you then upload to your server and provide the links to your Customers to download and / or stream, whatever your choice of delivery is.

4. What format should I provide to my Customers, AVI, WMV, Flash or what?
You are only allowed to provide the Flash formats to your Customers. Whether it is MP4, FLV or any other Flash format you choose. You Cannot Pass Any Source Files – Video Or Otherwise – To Your Customers. This is a violation of the license terms.

5. Do I need a Flash application to watch?
An up to date version of Flash is required to view the flash videos. You can download it for free here: DOWNLOAD FLASH HERE

6. When I try to edit the AVI but I cannot see the video but I can hear it?
This is because you are missing a codec. Either the tscc codec from Techsmith or the ffdshow-tryout codec.

Here is a short 3 minute video showing you the install process and what NOT to do

ffdshow

Here are their website addresses if you would rather get them there or

7. What are the suggested minimum system requirements to watch the videos?
For the best experience, we recommend at minimum:
PC: Win98/P4 1.5Ghz CPU/128MB ram/32MB Video card
MAC: Apple Mac G4 running OSX 10.2.8, 1.5Ghz CPU, 256MB Ram

8. Can I resell or give away the products I download from the PLRVideoDirect.com or related sites?
Every product you download comes with certain rights that are spelled out in the product license. A few products are for your own use only, but most products have Resale Rights, Master Resale Rights or Private Label Rights. Each product comes with the Authors rights to their product. For example, here is a copy of the license that governs what you can – and cannot do with my…
PLR video Series packages > https://plrvideodirect.com/PLRlic.pdf

PLR Single videos > https://plrvideodirect.com/license-terms-and-conditions/

Most of the time these licenses can found in the description page.

9. What exactly do I get when I purchase a product from PLRVideoDirect.com or one of your related sites?
Each product has its own description page that spells out in detail what with your purchase. Please check the description page and if you cannot find your answer there then please email me via the Contact Us for in the top navigation bar.

10. Is the Members area taking new Members yet?
Not yet. When the Members area re-opens, there will be a ‘Join Now’ button in the top navigation bar.

11. Do you mention who you are or your web sites in these PLR videos?
No! All my PLR videos are just that – Private Label Rights – meaning you receive videos with generic sites and throwaway email addresses being used. When I’m demonstrating things that require web site design or signing up for a service like Twitter or Facebook, I use fake names and register fake accounts. Not everyone in the PLR video industry does this but in my opinion it is not true PLR if they don’t.

12. Do you provide transcripts to the PLR videos ?
Some packages come with the transcripts and some do not. Please check out the contents of the individual product or series you are interested in for all the contents of that package..

13.Are the PLR videos Power Point slides or ‘Look-Over-My-Shoulder’ style screen capture videos?
Most all are Screen capture videos where I show you exactly what I’m doing as I tell you, but there are a few Power Point slides.

14. Do you provide the PSD files along with the action scripts to make those cool eCovers and Vista box style images?
In the PLR marketing packages, you receive the PSD files but I cannot provide you with the action scripts because I do not have the rights to pass those on. If you are interested in buying them, I’d be happy to give you the URL to the seller, just ask.

While it is best to have all new graphics created for your edited videos you are reselling, if you have the proper image editing software and the skills to use them, you are provided with the PSD source image files so you can craft your own unique images for your edited video product.

15. Can I replace the voice on the videos with my own or someone elses?
Yes. You can separate the audio from the video and then have the audio transcribed. Then record your own audio and add it in place of the original.

16. Is there a faster way for me to download all the items you provide in your download pages?
Yes. I have made a short video showing you how to use a Download Manager that will help in speeding up your downloads and help keep them organized.

Hi Steve – It’s Kwin again, I so apologize for writing to you but I’m having all kind of problems I can’t find answers to and hoped you could help.
So using Camtasia 7.1 I open batch production, I only import 10 of them because I read the reason it was freezing was the batch was too large. (I was trying to batch all 47 of the WordPress PLR at once)
I set the watermark and set it to blog and FLV output it then asks for the vid2 first frame image. Never does it ask me for the first frame for the first video but anyhow, I then tell it where to find these images each one individually and hit start and it looks as if it will go, the batch window opens and just sits at 0.01% never moving.
I tried to render them in different formats and again never asks me for video 1 first frame image but it does the batch but, then the first frame shows up on all the videos but when it gets to the video after 5 seconds I can hear you talking but the video is all jacked and you can’t see it. I did install the ffdshow codex and still you can’t see the video only audio
I am happy to pay you extra if needed for this help. I know this is just a noob to Camtasia problem lol but it’s frustrating as I’ve been building computers and websites for years and can’t figure out what I’ve got going wrong.
    Thank you again Sincerely, Kwin

PS: my system is a i7 with 12 gig of ddr3 ram and triple sli 2gig videos cards. No anit-virus software enabled during this and all other memory sucking programs turned off.

      Hi Kwin,

I sent you an email about trying to get on Skype and let me see what you are seeing when the error happens and maybe I can discover the solution this way rather than emailing back and forth – either way is good for me.
      Let me know.

    Steve –

I’m totally new to editing video and I have CamSTUDIO, which was a free version of Camtasia Studio back when as I understand it (like GIMP to PhotoShop). I don’t think I can edit camproj files in CamStudio, but do you know if I can edit the AVI files – I just want to brand the videos I’ve bought without buying Camtasia (yet).

Any suggestions? I also have Windows Movie Maker but I’m not familiar with editing using it…I was hoping to use CamStudio for a smaller file size (as I understand it, WMM makes HUGE files).

    Thanks.

Thanks to your videos, I’ve been able to get started. I bought another video editor (I’m primarily a writer, learning a new medium like video was inevitable but I just have my “toe in it” so to speak), and for the price it’s fantastic. Adding watermarks like you show, and editing the intro/outro.

Thanks again! I see a few video series I need for my own use here, so I’ll be a customer for sure. Much appreciate the video response, by the way!

    Hi Steve,
    Your videos are so professional!

When I try to record videos my voice tends to get weak at points and ruins the product. It’s hard to understand what I’m saying at times.

Can you recommend a training course to overcome this and maintain a clear, strong level throughout like you do?

    Thanks,
    ~Karen
